European Congresses of Lepidopterology

These meetings have so far been held in even years at different venues: I France: Paris (1978), II Germany: Karlsruhe 1980; III UK: Cambridge (1982), IV Netherlands: Wageningen (1984), V Hungary: Budapest (1986), VI Italy: San Remo (1988), VII Austria: Lunz am See (1990), VIII Finland: Helsinki (1992), IX Czech Republic: Lednice (1994), X Spain: Miraflores (1996), XI Belgium: Malle (1998), XII Poland: Bialowieza (2000), XIII Denmark: Korsør (2002), XIV Rome (2005), XV Erkner (2007).

The European Congresses of Lepidopterology feature contributed and invited talks as well as poster presentations on topical issues in lepidopterology. Each congress has a series of workshops devoted to special topics. The congresses also offer excellent opportunities for informal communication between European lepidopterists.
